Senior Delivery Manager/Engagement Manager
Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Delivery Manager/Engagement Manager to join our team. Senior Delivery Management (SDM) includes all service support and service management processes (in line with ITIL/ASL definitions), and other processes required for project specific engagements as part of the ongoing services to our clients. SDM roles ensure that the service to the client meets contractual requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skillsets, work with a motivated and entrepreneurial team, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and build CGS’ capabilities.
As a Senior Delivery Manager/Engagement Manager you will:
- Lead a large Agile delivery Program (50+ resources) with multiple cloud-based technology stacks across teams who can consider bigger picture goals when making decisions and presenting issues. Able to drive projects and services from conception through to implementation
- Possess executive presence with client stakeholders and adapt information/style to the audience to explain difficult issues clearly.
- Accurately forecast and manage costs and profitability for multi-faceted work activities.
- Hold responsibility for removing blockers, empowering, and providing support for all our “second team” managers who lead our delivery teams within the account.
- Implement effective recruitment strategies to build the Program to meet business objectives, such as meeting with internal capability leads to manage resourcing and push forward platform agendas.
- Strategically focus people and resources to meet changing market requirements.
- Take a high degree of responsibility and ownership of people issues, of direct and indirect reports alike.
- Understand the political infrastructure of board level situations and operates accordingly.
- Focus on developing strategic partnerships with clients.
- Establish strong relationships in difficult, complex, or political environments
- Proactively develop and implement efficiency improvements that can be implemented in several areas.
- Settle large, complex problems and in doing so, strengthen the relationship with the client.
- Be aware of Groups’ capabilities and value to the market.
- Be able to sell innovations to Capgemini managers and clients.
- Possess and apply broad knowledge across multiple technology areas to ensure optimum solutions.
- Translate strategy into meaningful financial and business action plans, setting clear aims and objectives.
- Work as part of a team or lead a team to negotiate new deals, extensions, and ad-hoc service aspects.
- Be aware of the legal and service implications in the drafting and reviewing of contracts, schedules, and service level agreements.

- Bachelor's Degree

- Ability to take responsibility for the quality provision of service, as well as for managing and reporting on it.
- Ability to oversee the execution of day-to-day operations to ensure contractual commitments are met.
- Proactively manage the day-to-day relationship with the client representatives to ensure a high level of satisfaction and implement continuous improvements to help support the continuity of our contracts.
- Ability to work closely with others to plan the overall client relationship strategy, concentrating on cost reduction, service improvement, and new business.
