National Catering Sales Manager

WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR

The National Catering Sales Manager is responsible for enhancing the revenue of our catering and event business by promoting, planning, converting, and supporting the execution of our catering category. This will be completed through prospecting and converting new clients, and building on the relationships of existing loyal guests. Under this role, you will coordinate and organize catering events in coordination with store managers. The National Catering Sales Manager will work strategically with clients, partners in the catering process, and the operations team. The ideal candidate will help to achieve our mission to bring expertly crafted baked and brewed goods to our guests through a warm and welcoming bakery caf experience that delivers joy to everyone.

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate new client relationships and partnerships.
  • Maintain and build on existing client relationships.
  • Ensure all bookings are executed flawlessly by working in conjunction with the operations team.
  • Align on performance objectives and initiatives with caf operations.
  • Manage guest feedback on catering and events, following up with the operations teams.
  • In depth understanding of catering platform and basic understanding of the Point of Sale system
  • Responsible for managing department's goals and budgets - reporting on performance with cadence.
  • Leading catering and event launches
  • Work closely and collaboratively with all departments on product and catering / event launches.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Must have the ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
  • Operate with integrity


WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred, with three to five years related experience.
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity, respect for all individuals (customers, vendors, and employees), solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.).
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule - including holidays, early mornings, nights, and / or weekends.
  • Basic working knowledge of POS register systems; experience utilizing MS Office suite, internet and related PC based systems.
  • Basic business math, and strong analytical/decision- making skills.
  • Flexible, adaptive, upbeat, open and visible management style, with a successful record of accomplishment of managing senior operations leaders across a large geographically decentralized portfolio.
