Maintenance Technician

Summary

The Warehouse Team Lead - Maintenance Technician oversees the maintenance of all equipment and the warehouse facility in accordance with legal requirements and Company procedures. The role includes the management, preparation, and implementation of maintenance plans while staying within budget and timeline.

Successful candidate must demonstrate mechanical-electrial aptitude with relevant maintenance experience. Must have ability to interface with multiple internal customers to provide schedule or reactive requests in a timely and efficient manner. Must be very organized and able independently with minimal direction once released from training.

Role is based in the Fredricksburg Distribution Center.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee all preventative and reactive maintenance for the warehouse facility and equipment and log into Mobile Checklist system
  • Order and maintain supplies and necessary parts
  • Utilize CMMS/SAP programs to document all activities within and outside of the Mobile Checklist system
  • Coordinate work and schedules with contractors with whom service and purchasing agreements are in place
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse facility, assets, and equipment to ensure compliance with applicable Health and Safety requirements
  • Ensure that external contractors carrying out work on Company's premises follow Health and Safety requirements
  • Manage filing and administration of contracts and maintenance records
  • Work closely within a team supporting the Maintenance Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need

Required:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Motivation to work independently while still meeting ambitious productivity goals and ability to switch functions or tasks quickly
  • Comfort operating powered industrial equipment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, nights, and weekends
  • The ability to maneuver cases of product (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) in excess of 50 lbs. and reach above head to heights greater than 10 inches frequently in accordance with safety regulations
  • The ability to handle all Lidl products, to include but not limited to, meat, poultry, alcohol products, and food products with known allergens, such as nuts
Highly Desirable:
  • Experience with Fire, Security and Sprinkler Systems
  • Dock restraint systems, fast automated doors and levelers
  • HVAC, Refrigeration and Thermal-Dynamic heating systems
  • Material handling equipment repair
  • Floor scrubber repair
  • Racking Systems
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Proficient in the use of multi-meter, common powered and hand tools
  • Ability to use computer with standard utility programs
  • Will versed in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
