Social Media Specialist
Job Description
The BOKA Restaurant Group is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team in Brooklyn, New York! This position will be the onsite social media representative for New York Post's Restaurant of the Summer - Laser Wolf, Brooklyn - as well as two additional yet-to-be-announced concepts opening this fall.
Boka Restaurant Group was founded by Rob Katz and Kevin Boehm in 2003 and has become one of the premier chef-driven restaurant groups in the country. Anchored by partnerships with some of America's greatest chefs–Stephanie Izard, Giuseppe Tentori, Lee Wolen, Chris Pandel, Gene Kato, Daniel Rose and Michael Solomonov–each of BRG’s restaurants are crafted individually and conceptually unique.
Who we are looking for:
Boka Restaurant Group’s Marketing Team is looking for someone who:
- has a minimum of 2–3 years of experience managing multiple restaurant/business social media accounts
- has experience writing captivating copy for social media
- has experience managing daily posting for multiple social media accounts
- has experience building/maintaining online communities
- has experience analyzing social media analytics and providing actionable ideas to improve upon insights
- has experience setting proper KPI’s to reach monthly/quarterly/yearly social media goals and business objectives
- is passionate about hospitality and food/beverage
- skilled in social media photography/videography + creating reels
- has a strong eye for captivating photography and videography that aligns with corresponding brand guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Curate and oversee all social media postings on social platforms including, but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.for multiple restaurant accounts
- Develop monthly content calendars in Later to align with restaurant messaging objectives and established brand aesthetics.
- Work with the Social Media Manager to implement strategic direction for each restaurant and ensure that proposed content aligns with strategic goals of each business.
- Monitor multiple restaurant social media channels, initiate conversations and respond to community comments & messages referencing established brand and community guidelines.
- Execute daily social media posting and scheduling across all social platforms.
- Foster and maintain elevated community engagement by executing an active voice on all social media channels by engaging with, commenting, liking and responding to all messages.
- Maintain excellent hospitality by escalating any messages or comments from reviews to the appropriate restaurant team in real time.
- Stay on top of social media marketing trends, research new channels and share key insights/learnings with the team.
- Support with day-to-day photography needs including photo editing to match brand aesthetic.
- Communicate specific restaurant promotions and objectives to marketing team for support.
- Assist marketing team in any other tasks day-to-day that needs assistance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with social media influencers and local Brooklyn media contacts and tastemakers.
