About Us
Wheatsville is a full service, natural foods cooperative grocery store that has been serving the central Austin community since 1976. We are the only retail food cooperative in Texas and have over 24,000 invested owners who participate democratically and financially in the co-op. After starting our first store in 1976 with unpaid volunteers affectionately known as "the turn-ups", we are proud to have realized our dream of opening a second store in 2013.

Description
Do you have a passion for working with people and natural foods? Come join our team at Wheatsville!
- Don't have cooking experience? No problem!
- Help in our mission to be the friendliest store in town
- Prepare delicious foods for our grab and go and deli while maintaining health department standards
- Make sandwiches, smoothies and coffees while engaging with our customers
- On the job training: proper technique, knife handling skills and food storage, cooling and labeling procedures
- We encourage positive staff and customer experiences and interactions

- This job requires frequent standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50lbs and exposure to extreme heat and cold. A FOOD HANDLER'S CERTIFICATE is required.
