HOG BUYER/STATION MANAGER

Full Time

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the proper handling of livestock that includes: sorting, counting, weighing, and tattooing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance
    • Able to work overtime as needed
    • Able to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Maintain accurate inventory of livestock
    • Sorting
    • Loading/unloading
  • Work directly with yard personnel
  • Purchase livestock
  • Pursue new growers
  • Ensure that livestock is properly cared for
  • Administrative responsibilities
  • General Maintenance of grounds, facilities, and equipment
    • Alleyways, pens, and chutes
    • Vehicles and skid steers
    • Mowing and weeding
    • Office/Restroom cleaning
  • Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable under company guidelines
    • Must have or be able to obtain a CDL
  • Maintain certification and follow all TQA Guidelines in the Humane Handling of Livestock
  • Positive customer service skills
