Sales Development Manager, Polymers Additives
Position Location: Houston, Texas, USA
We are currently recruiting for a Sales Development Manager, Polymer Additives. This position reports to the Senior Manager: Sales, Performance Additives and is located in Houston, TX. This position has a hybrid work model and flexible working hours to include the option of a 9/80 work schedule.

Purpose of Job
Grow regional profits by taking responsibility for the execution of sales development activities and sales in the Polymer Additives market in North America. Other market segments and/or regions may be added to sales portfolio based on business requirements. Deliver on multi-year growth targets and budgets aligned with market strategy.

Purpose of Job
Grow regional profits by taking responsibility for the execution of sales development activities and sales in the Polymer Additives market in North America. Other market segments and/or regions may be added to sales portfolio based on business requirements. Deliver on multi-year growth targets and budgets aligned with market strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop pipeline of sales opportunities/customer prospects in the Polymer Additives market (Polymer Lubricants, Plasticizer) in North America
- Deliver sales to support growth targets based on identified sales opportunities
- Identify & implement efficient sales channels to increase speed to first product purchase
- Develop and manage sound business relationships with customers and industry stake- holders with the goal to increase Sasol's market share; represent Sasol at industry events
- Uncover and report current and future market trends and needs; recommend developments and innovation for new market penetration
- Develop insights into competitive offerings and how latter compares to Sasol's
- Provide feedback on technical development opportunities to internal stakeholders; work closely with Product Innovation and Research & Development to develop new products
- Work in a global Performance Additive team; exchange knowledge and support colleagues
- Work with line manager to negotiate and manage contracts with customers, distributors, and agents in line with the strategy. Performance manage agents and distributors
- Support line manager on ad-hoc projects
Formal Education
- Bachelor's degree, technical (preferred)
- MBA is a plus
Working Experience
10+ years of sales/business development and technical experience
Required Personal and Professional Skills
- Demonstrated technical and sales development experience (preferably in Polymer Additive) with a track record of closing sales
- Sound knowledge of sales concepts (eg., P2Pr)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive and solutions oriented with hands-on approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of assertiveness
- User skills for IT modules corresponding to Sales tasks
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and independently work on assignments
- Extensive willingness to travel
