Job Details

The Transportation and Logistics Analyst will build, improve, and implement tools, processes, and reporting, to improve our transportation efficiency. This will include finding innovative ways to optimize our outbound logistics planning operations. Perform analysis and research to improve delivery performance, reduce labor cost and improve resource allocation and scheduling.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of progressive experience in a highly data-drive / analytical type role.
• Experience using various optimization methodologies.
• Experience working in Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation optimization.
• Strong business intelligence, supply chain management, and data mining skills.
• Ability to translate data insights from large datasets into specific optimization / improvement actions.
• Report-writing/storytelling skills – developing/delivering recommendations & summaries to key business partners at all levels.
• Expert level in Microsoft Office Suite, - Microsoft Excel.
• Expert level Microsoft D365 Power BI.
• Prior experience with BI tools (Tableau) and Routing Software preferred.

Essential Functions:

• Identify opportunities for improvement in the routing (Outbound logistics) and transportation departments.
• Perform drill down analysis to determine cost and profitability.
• Analyze large amounts of data and draw conclusions, develop a project plan, and execute the plan.
• Issue statistical or detailed reporting for stakeholders as requested, using SQL to retrieve data from the backend and working with BI to develop dashboards as required.
• Perform financial and ad-hoc analysis for the transportation department to assist with labor and asset planning.
• Become the subject matter expert for our routing software ORTEC’s analytics tools.
• Assist with the integration of new routing software and ERP.
