Role:

Under general supervision but following established policies and procedures, serves as a Client Service Advisor responsible for renewal processing, servicing property/casualty insurance client, and serving as back up for the Investment Client Service Manager when he/she is out of the office. Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with The Apple Way principles, of Team Up, Serve With Purpose, Challenge Yourself and Own It. Performs other insurance sales, service and/or administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Property and Casualty Insurance.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:



Answers incoming calls. Assists existing and prospective property & casualty insurance clients.



Following Insurance Carrier’s underwriting guidelines; cross-sell and upsell property and casualty insurance clients from the existing book of business.



Responsible for conducting annual policy reviews with all insurance clients.



Responsible for achieving assigned activity/sales goals.



Become proficient with AMS-360 Agency Management System and Zywave marketing software.



Maintain proficiency of insurance company underwriting guidelines and policies and procedures.



Notifies and provides alternate options for clients who have canceled or want to cancel their policy with AFS.



Reconcile monthly agency renewal and cancellation lists and contact clients as required.



Resolve client conflicts with insurance company personnel or escalate to Insurance Advisor or Manager.



Provide additional support to Client Relationship Manager by helping schedule investment or tax appointments. In the absence of the Client Relationship Manager the Client Service Advisor is responsible for returning phone calls and scheduling appointments for the Financial Advisors.



Maintain Property and Casualty License by completing the biennial continuing education requirement.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Already possess or be able to acquire Property/Casualty Insurance License within 90 days of start date.

Education

Associate Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Interpersonal Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills in person and over the phone.

Other Skills

Excellent written and communication skills in person and over the phone.
Attention to detail.
Ability to provide excellent client service, and support to the Insurance Advisors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements

The ability to lift 25lbs and utilize standard office equipment including, but not limited to, PC, fax, copier, telephone, etc.

Work Environment

Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: CRT, fax, copier, telephone, etc.
