General Summary and Purpose:
The QA Engineer is responsible for the integration testing and systems testing of BioLife Solutions’ software applications and related components.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Interpret requirements and specifications to develop tests
• Develop and execute test plans and document results
• Write well-designed, well-documented tests
• Integrate E2E tests into a fully functional software application
• Document and maintain test functionality
• Troubleshoot and debug existing systems
• Comply with project plans and industry standards
• Ensure tests are updated to support the latest application features

Reporting Relationships:

This position reports to the Director, Cloud Services.

Job Requirements:

• At least three years of demonstrable QA engineering experience
• Production experience developing and executing test plans
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Production experience with test-driven development (TDD)
• Proficiency in Selenium and automating E2E tests for web
• Proficiency in modern software engineering tools and techniques
• Proficiency using Github to maintain tests as code
• Ability to interpret and document requirements and specifications
• Experience following an Agile methodology for task management
• BS in computer science or related discipline or equivalent demonstrable software engineering experience
