Summary: RTL is looking for a Lead Systems Engineer to support the AEHF/Milstar Combined Orbital Operations Logistics Resiliency (COOLR) program in Colorado Springs, CO. The Test and Training Simulator Element (TTSE) Agile Development Team (ADT) of the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) program is looking for an innovative and dynamic Systems Engineering Lead. As part of this team, you will use your systems engineering skills to support the Test and Training Simulator Element (TTSE) team's development of a new satellite simulation capability that's critical to our customers.

You will be applying your skills to provide systems engineering solutions. You will be implementing solutions, requirements and developing new features for our system. In addition, you will be part of a team that will be implementing a capability into the AEHF Ground System configuration. Experience with generating Systems Engineering architecture, requirements, and design artifacts. Experience defining software/hardware interfaces as well as knowledge of RF interface technology is desired.

The lead Systems Engineer is responsible for planning / designing, implementing / executing, testing, and documenting Test and Training Simulator Element (TTSE) products to satisfy all requirements and functional capabilities. The selected candidate will work closely with internal and external customers to ensure that delivered software meets all technical and schedule expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in providing technical systems engineering leadership to an Agile development project. Experience includes generating Systems Engineering architecture, requirements, design artifacts
  • Experience defining software/hardware interfaces
  • Previous experience with the Agile methodology
  • Active DoD Security Clearance to start

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Simulators and/or simulator SW
  • Knowledge of RF interface technology
  • Ada Programming Experience
  • Agile Product Owner experience
