Position Overview
The Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and PMO is responsible for strategy formation, development activities and project management from initial contact through facility opening. The position is responsible for providing profitability and market analysis for the Companys primary business lines, and opportunity analysis for new and emerging business opportunities. Develops and implements business plans for new and existing programs, partnerships and markets. Provides leadership and assures that department goals are integrated with the Companys strategic plan. Collaborates across departments and works effectively in a network environment inclusive of management team members of finance, legal, real estate, marketing, clinical, human resources, and operations. Develops applicable business plans, assists in setting and accomplishing financial and budget targets and quality measures.
Highly visible position reporting to the EVP, Chief Growth Officer. Requires interface and communication at all levels within and outside of the organization, including but not limited to senior leadership, physicians and community partners.
Under the direction of the EVP, Chief Growth Officer has responsibility for strategic management, business development and directing strategic planning activities for the Emerus.
Essential Job Functions
- Advanced leadership qualities to manage Strategy and Development and PMO departments
- P&L management for departments
- Develop executive level presentations for internal and external board meetings, executive leadership teams and investors
- Use strong research, strategic, and analytical skills to identity potential business or market opportunities and to support the growth of the company.
- Performs various financial data gathering, analysis, and modeling on company operations and other business ventures so as to identify issues, enhance the companys performance, set financial targets, and recommend action plans.
- Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
- Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with new and existing partners.
- Assists in the development of a strong pipeline of new partnership opportunities through direct or indirect partner contact and prospecting.
- Works directly with finance, legal, real estate, marketing, clinical, human resources, and operations teams to implement business development initiatives.
- Able to work independently across functions, manage highly complex projects, and be the development subject matter expert.
- Preparation of ad hoc reports and financial models on an as needed basis.

Basic Qualifications
- Individual will have a bachelors degree or higher in a Business discipline so long as a strong understanding of financial statements and analytics is exhibited.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis required.
- At least 5 years management experience required.
- Healthcare industry knowledge, preferred.
- Excellent MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills are a must.
- A strong mathematics background is a plus, with even more credit given for statistical understanding.
- Travel is required on an as needed basis for various internal and external matters
- Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication.
