Production Associate

Great things are happening at koi Design. We are looking for a full-time, in-house, detail oriented Production Associate. We want to meet someone who is dynamic, highly motivated, efficient, and a hard-working individual. This person is a team player, able to take directions well, and has excellent communication and time management skills. We take pride in the quality of our apparel that have a great look and fit that meets our high level of quality standards. At least 2 - 3 years garment production or product development experience is required. This job is located in Torrance, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Support all Calendar development activities
• Compose development emails and provide technical information and ensure all vendors receive packages and are clear on development details
• Communicate, and follow up with vendors to ensure that proto and production samples are executed correctly and arrive in-house on time for the appropriate production timeline
• Review and make technical comments on production materials - fabric/trim/accessory and garment samples assigned– SMS/PP/TOP samples throughout from development to production
• Prepare and conduct in-house washing tests and updating the report
• Define and address problems, issues, and concerns with the upper managers
• Maintain development and production files so they are organized, updated, and easily accessible
• Maintain data entry by following the departmental system and ensure the integrity of the information and print out various reports
• Organize and print various production reports from other departments and vendors
• Assist other departments for special sample orders to the vendors overseas
• Any other duties assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions
• Strong communication skills (Verbal and written)
• Knowledge of fabrics and garment construction
• Highly organized, able to take direction, and work independently
• Ability to organize and direct a project to completion
• Ability to prioritize and multitask and lead projects
• Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.
• Ability to effectively present information publicly
• Must be a team-oriented, open to take direction, and able to work well under pressure

Skills & Abilities:

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study, or a combination of college education and related work experience
• You have 2~3+ years garment production or product development experience
• You have a solid handle on Microsoft Office (*Excel is the most important) and Adobe Illustrator will be plus
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound communication and analytical skills to effectively collaborate and communicate with vendors as well as Design and other teams within the organization.
• Ability to take direction, be proactive, be detail oriented, and have strong problem-solving skills.
