About Eridan
Eridan is a rapidly-growing startup building 5G radios to enable abundant wireless connectivity everywhere in the world. Our MIRACLE transceiver is based on a patent-protected switching architecture that decreases the amount of power required to transmit a gigabit of data by 5-10x.

About this Job
As a Production/Test Engineer at Eridan you will play a critical role in supporting the upcoming deployment of our commercial product. A successful Production/Test Engineer will be a creative and flexible individual with a mastery of PCBA design and assembly, and a high level of experience in PCBA design fabrication and logistic issues.
Given our anticipated growth, a Production/Test Engineer at Eridan must be willing to learn new techniques quickly and be able to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for data driven individuals who are comfortable working with a cross-disciplinary approach to solve problems independently as well as in a team. We look for engineers with persistence, curiosity, and excellent communication skills.
As our Production/Test Engineer, you will:
- Work closely with production team to understand product's purpose and define the specific product requirements (e.g., functionalities, speed, safety standards)
- Inspect raw materials and machinery to identify defects and malfunctions
- Publish and maintain progress to schedules and testing status
- Develop test environments and test cases for all mechanical and electrical systems
- Run tests through all stages of component and final product production
- Analyze test results, identify potential malfunctions, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend improvements
- Create test docs (DVT & PVT)
- Maintain test database, documenting technical issues, and solutions
Qualities of a Successful Candidate
- A minimum of 5 years of testing previous experience as a Test Engineer or similar role
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or relevant field
- Solid foundation of comms theory and signal processing
- Working knowledge of WIFI or 3GPP 4G/5G system specifications
- Experience with System Requirement and Design Validation or Verification
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- Ability to write test software in C++
- Familiarity with various testing techniques (e.g., thermal, shock, vibration, electrical)
- Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Knowledge of quality standards and regulations
- Due to the nature of our government contracts, you must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to be considered for this position
