Motor Vehicle Clerk/Accounting Assistant



Job Description

A franchised automobile dealership is seeking an experienced and professional Motor Vehicle Clerk/Accounting Assistant to help our team. This will begin as a part-time position with the ability to convert into a full-time position down the road.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Respond to all customer inquiries in a professional manner
  • Accurately record incoming titles daily according to established procedures
  • Troubleshooting and problem resolution specific to titles; odometer discrepancies, power of attorney, etc.
  • Responsible for handling the legal transfer of all new and used vehicle documents for registration in the state where they are to be titled
  • Maintain a motor vehicle log for future MVC audits.
  • Communicate with banks regarding the release of titles after payoff

Qualifications:

  • Prior automotive accounting experience is a plus
  • Active notary license is a requirement
  • Positive attitude
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong record keeping skills
  • Professional appearance and good communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
