SHIFTS & SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY:

2nd shift: 3:00PM - 11:00PM

  • Monday - Friday
  • Tuesday - Saturday

3rd shift: 11:00PM - 7:00AM

  • Saturday - Wednesday

JOB FUNCTION: Formulate extruded products following blending and mixing instructions on batch sheets ensuring accuracy of ingredients and meeting production targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the job include but are not limited to:

  1. Review batch sheets before formulating to ensure it is correct for the product to be produced and all ingredients are in inventory in adequate quantities.
  2. Conduct daily line meetings with Packers prior to the start of each shift to review product spec sheets and expectations.
  3. Make sure the correct batch number and dates are written and documented properly and accurately.
  4. Follow exact mixing and blending instructions.
  5. Formulate batches to be completed within the specified time frames.
  6. Ensure quality products are being produced by monitoring weights, seals, batch numbers, print clarity, etc.
  7. Consistently verify weights / lengths of product and packaging and anticipate material needs to minimize downtime.
  8. Attempt to troubleshoot equipment / process problems as they arise.
  9. Perform quality checks throughout the shift and pull product samples from each batch. Keep accurate records.
  10. Act as a leader. Ensure the line runs smoothly and efficiently from scheduled start to end of shift.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma is preferred
  • 2+ years manufacturing experience is preferred
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly / 75 lbs occasionally

Note: Previous experience with mixing, blending, and / or following an ingredient list are skills that transfer really well to this position. EX: chef, back of house kitchen worker, paint or ink mixing, etc.

*This position is located at our Madison East side facility; it should be known that the role will transition to our Windsor facility within the next two years.*
