About the Position
The Asset Protection Support Specialist's primary role is to gather and provide timely and accurate information to the Asset Protection department, address customer concerns effectively and handle general office functions for the department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Responsible for record keeping, database management, special projects and department objectives.
- Maintain data into Asset Protection's intranet sites (SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
- Create ID badges or reprints as requested. Manage the data entry and timely distribution of badges.
- Complete campus and parking lot safety and security patrols as assigned.
- Program lock/unlock schedules in security software as needed. Maintain access control rules and groups for badge readers.
- Maintain an accurate key control system and update the electronic key vault system as needed.
- Generate reports and monitor for excessive customer/employee returns and customer/employee fraud activity.
- Monitor New Goods inventory records and report areas of high shrinkage to the Asset Protection Manager assigned to location.
- Complete monthly audits of submitted reports, including store audits, civil restitutions and internal investigations; report discrepancies to the Asset Protection Manager assigned to location.
- Complete quarterly inspections of Asset Protection supplies and equipment. Maintain appropriate supply levels at all times.
- Assist Asset Protection Managers in coordination of alarm technician work at stores and key and lock orders with locksmiths; assist with filling of approved key requests; assist with video review and archiving.
- Meet all timelines for assigned projects.
- Establish, organize, and maintain files and records.
- Receive and respond to correspondence; ensure that all documents are properly maintained and accounted for.
- Accept, screen, and route telephone calls. Resolve routine administrative problems and answer inquiries.
- Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; report any potential hazards or accidents.
- Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Partner with People Relations as needed and appropriate.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Administrative Certificate, Associates degree.
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience, preferably in Asset Protection/Loss Prevention or retail.
- Proficient in English language (speaking, reading, and writing) to respond to Asset Protection related incidents and to prepare written communications.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality in the receipt and distribution of sensitive information.
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
- WA State driver's license and proof of insurance.
Computer/Technology Skills:
- Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Preferred knowledge of working with Asset Protection database, Perspective.
- Type a minimum of 45 WPM.
- Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.
Physical Abilities:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to lift and carry up to 15 pounds; have developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers; standing for long periods, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders; able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain). Ability to operate computer systems. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance.
