Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manages administrative and research activities in support of a specialized program or research center.

  • Develops plans for program growth and development and serves as a liaison to various committees or organizations.

  • May oversee the planning, logistics and implementation of various special events such as lectures, seminars, conferences, or research projects.

  • Participates in developing and implementing various program related communications such as websites, publications, multimedia or video productions.

  • May hire and supervise administrative or research related staff.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Manage strategic plans for center vision, growth and scope

  • Member/contributor to Research Operations Team

  • Participate in weekly team meetings

  • Utilize team SOPs

  • Contribute to group events (conferences and symposia)

  • Meet regularly with center leader to ensure center activities are aligned with the system

  • Manage center-related visitors/seminars, e.g., weekly, monthly

  • Manage pilot pre- and post-award process and track pilot progress once awarded

  • Manage center budget expenditures

  • Initiate and manage the annual progress report

  • Manage content and updates for Center webpages (pedsresearch.org)

  • Center membership/profiles

  • Center research team & lab pages

  • Manage communications for the center, e.g., newsletters, weekly updates, social media

  • Manage special groups within the center, e.g., research in progress, monthly PI meetings

  • Partner with Emory and Childrens foundations on philanthropic efforts

  • Track publications for center annually

  • Provide project management and operational oversight for pediatric cores

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field.

  • Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management.

  • Requires previous supervisory and program/project management experience.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic, with intent to return to an Emory University location in the future. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
