Accounts Receivable Specialist
Classification: Accounts Receivable Clerk
Compensation: $40000.00 to $45000.00 yearly
This position is an opportunity to grow with a thriving Wholesale Distribution company as an Accounts Receivable professional. This dynamic organization has an Accounts Receivable position with a noteworthy benefits package, available through Robert Half. The Accounts Receivable Specialist role will be based in the Madison, Wisconsin region and is a permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities include entering, posting and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging reports, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, and updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank accounts, recording and balancing financial information in a variety of ledgers
- Verify documents and codes
- Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
- Process payments and assemble segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
- Correspond with clients to resolve payment issues and set up payment plans
- Handle a range of basic accounting tasks using standard procedures
- Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
- 1+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
- Detailed and have the ability work independently
- Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
- Chargebacks experience highly desired
- Foundational knowledge in Credit Card Reconciliation
- Adeptness in Lock Box
- Knowledge of cash applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Strong familiarity with Daily Reconciliation
