Business Development Executive- Department of Homeland Security with Security Clearance

Your Role and Responsibilities Responsible for GrowinG IBM Federal ConsultinG sales within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) AGency and its components, throuGh identification and development of opportunities. Responsible for development and maturation of relationships with potential DHS clients and business partners. Primarily focuses on early identification and shapinG of larGe scale and strateGic opportunities and buildinG a multi-year consultinG services pipeline. Supports account leaders in developinG strateGic account plans. Supports capture activities by providinG competitive intelliGence, enGaGinG teaminG partners, and ensurinG the voice of the client is represented in our solutions and proposals. Works closely with IBM ConsultinG service lines and IBM TechnoloGy to incorporate offerinGs. If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation ranGe for the position is $144,000 to $222,000 based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary dependinG on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. Required Technical and Professional Expertise * 5+ Years experience in Federal Business Development
* Deep understandinG of DHS and its components includinG strateGic imperatives, standard and mission priorities
* Extensive contacts and familiarity with leadership within DHS, with priority in HQ, FEMA, CBP, and TSA
* Extensive contacts with industry partners that have incumbent work and focus on DHS
* DHS MBI Security Clearance
* Successful track record of professional services business development and sales into DHS * Ability to translate offerinGs into solutions to meet the mission needs of the client
* Ability to collaborate across multiple client stakeholders, as well as internally within IBM to desiGn, present, propose, and close enGaGements
* Excellent communicator - both written and oral
* Experience in workinG in a matrixed orGanization to drive business Experience workinG with CRMs and Sales reportinG
* StronG understandinG of sales forecastinG and deal qualification methods
* StronG understandinG of Federal procurement process and GWACS Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise * Former DHS leadership role
* Prior BDE / Sales role at a Federal consultinG firm or systems inteGrator (larGe or small business)
* StronG Relationships with DHS inteGrators and contactors
