Vice President - Technology Innovation

As the Vice President of Technology Innovation, you will be responsible for the strategic implementation and operation of AMLI's operations technology. Oversee staff that maintains and supports the property management system, design and implement community and building technology, and coordinate integration and implementation of various technology solutions. This position can be based out of Atlanta, Chicago or Dallas.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Research and understand trends in information technology, the multi-family apartment industry, and property technology.
Introduce ideas, technology, and methods that contribute to AMLI's strategic vision
Lead, manage, coach, and develop internal staff
Oversee and direct staff in the efficient management of the property management system, implementation of community technologies, integration of various systems, and support of multi-family operations technology.
Lead and participate in the technology acquisition process:
Evaluate business case requirements, evaluate technologies and vendors, conduct RFP selection process, and oversee implementation and standardization
Direct and delegate the setup and configuration of property management systems for property acquisitions and dispositions.
Cultivate and manage AMLI's relationships with industry peers, partners, and vendors
Leads and participate in technology-related projects and initiatives
Regularly interface with the CEO of AMLI Management Company, CIO, VP of Marketing, and other AMLI leadership on initiatives.
Work closely with the training and education department to ensure process and workflow documentation is current, communicated, and institutionalized.
Represent AMLI's strategic interests on industry panels and groups, partner-customer advisory councils, and AMLI committees.
Travel: Travel up to 20% may be required, including attendance at conferences and meetings
Hybrid office/home schedule. Our office is conveniently located in downtown Chicago, close to all public transportation.
Education and Experience Required:
5+ years experience in the multifamily apartment industry preferred.
College degree required. Information Technology or Business degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in Information Technology role with increasing levels of responsibility preferred.
Knowledgeable of current available technology solutions and proficient in Microsoft applications. Strong working knowledge of property management software and applicable policies/procedures required. Entrata experience a plus.
Experience in managing a diverse workforce. Ability to manage conflict, provide strategic direction and drive business results by managing the performance of staff members
