This role focuses on driving improvements throughout production in Energy Service, Process Automation Energy Industries (PAEN) in Westerville, Ohio.

The successful candidate must possess solid electronic troubleshooting abilities as well as demonstrated excellence in communication and customer service skills.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, calibration and repair capabilities with an eye for technical accuracy and thoroughness Service and repair activities must be performed within established ISO certified policies and procedures and documented accordingly


Your background

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent related work experience/military experience is required along with a minimum of 2 years related service support experience
  • Experience using calibration and electronic test equipment is required
  • General software knowledge is a must (Windows 10, MS Word, MS Excel)
  • Network support, Computer repair and OS restoration as well as software configuration is preferred
  • The candidate will require the skills to troubleshoot various electronic boards to component level and replace components, including through hole and surface mount to IPC-A-610 standards
  • Experience with troubleshooting tools such as Voltmeters and Oscilloscopes is required
  • In addition to electronic skills, good mechanical skills are preferred
  • Experience with LabView programming and / or use of LabView programs is a plus
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary to meet customer’s needs and a desire to participate in continuing education as necessary to meet customer’s and company needs
  • Travel is not typically required for this role
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
