Job Description
E.C. Styberg Engineering in RACINE, WI is Hiring for a 2nd shift CNC Set Up/ Machine Operator to interview and start immediately.
- Base pay will vary based on experience and will range between $15/hr. - $20/hr. + potential to earn multi-machine premiums and piece-rate on top of your hourly rate of pay.
- May train on 1st shift for approximately 90 days before transfering to the 2nd -shift upon completion of training

As a member of the machining team, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of a variety of machines in the shop including CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, Laser Welders, Weld Around, Hobbers/Shapers, Laser Cutters, Pull Broach, and Pot Broach machines.
Responsibilities include:
- Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances
- Load/unload parts to be machined, positioning, securing, and aligning with cutting tools or tool holders on machines
- Run machines through cycles, stopping to adjust tool positions and machine controls to ensure specified timing, clearances, and tolerances.
- Study blueprints, layouts, or charts, and job order information on specification and tooling instructions to determine operational sequences
- Inspect parts to ensure product specifications are met utilizing a variety of measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and a variety of gauges/tools
Qualifications:
- Seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years previous machine operation and set up experience working with CNC lathes/mills, also helpful would be Laser welders/cutters, hobbers/shapers, etc.
- Knowledge of machines, including setting up and changeover of tooling
- Position requires excellent math skills and the ability to read, interpret, and follow a variety of blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Ability to take precise measurements utilizing a variety of inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and a variety of gauges/tools
- Ability to work 10 hours in a physically active and challenging environment that includes but is not limited to; walking, standing, lifting, twisting, turning, pushing, pulling
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
