Corporate Affairs Project Manager

Job Description

Summary:

This PM will work within the Corporate Affairs function. Underneath Corporate Affairs are four subfunctions: Government Affairs, Patient Advocacy and Stakeholder Management, Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility. Projects from these subfunctions will be low to medium complexity and can come from any of the four at any time. That means there can be many projects at the same time and sometimes there may be no projects. The other time will be filled with helping me with my projects and doing some administrative work (meeting setup/logistics, MS Teams site management, stakeholder follow-up, tracking open action items, coordination, deck creation, etc.). This will be a fast paced environment that requires a self starter with high attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop and execute against project plans for multiple, concurrent initiatives
• Partner with key stakeholders to manage priority projects and ensure tasks are delivered on time and with quality
• Keep the team organized and on track leveraging project management tools and methodologies - action item trackers, MS Teams sites, project status decks/reports, Gantt charts/timelines, team calendars, etc.
• Identify and document critical issues and risks that may impact the agreed upon schedule and drive their mitigation and resolution
• General meeting management duties (facilitation, scheduling/rescheduling, agendas, notes, cross-functional team management, etc.)

• High degree of self-motivation, can lead without authority in a fast-paced, lean environment
• Very communicative, proactively sets expectations with stakeholders
• Can manage stakeholders at all levels
• Comfortable with ambiguity, has the ability to make recommendations and execute in a timely manner, even without the availability of full data
• Ability to effectively and independently manage multiple competing initiatives with high attention to detail; requires strong organizational, planning and time management skills
• Operationally focused with proven ability to think strategically and deliver tactically
• Previous project experience in corporate communications, government affairs or patient and stakeholder advocacy

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
• A minimum of 3-5 years working in in the commercial pharmaceutical industry
• A minimum of 3-5 years in a Project Management role required
• Proficiency in applying project management methodologies, tools, strategies, and concepts to drive medium to complex initiatives on their own
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport quickly and collaborate effectively with business and leadership teams in a virtual environment
• Highly proficient of the MS-Office/Office 365 suite of software applications and tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS-Project, and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas in easy to understand business terms to all levels of leadership and project teams
• Strong time management skills, ability to present work in a way that helps others manage their time (succinct emails, clear call to actions, organized presentations, etc.)
