National Manager of Business Development

job summary:

Position: National Manager of Business Development.


A consistent Award Winning Company in the Material Handling Sector, has an opportunity for a National Manager of Business Development to sell effective, technology innovative material handling equipment to dealers and distributors throughout the nation. Key to this role is having experience selling to resellers and builders that work directly with manufacturers, vessel and barge operators, terminals, and warehouse operators.


Responsibilities:



  • Identify new prospects to ensure continuous revenue steam and meet / exceed budgets
  • Train and educate distributors on a variety of new products
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales and the Client Services team regarding Lead Generation opportunities and new business opportunities with exiting accounts
  • Stay abreast of competitive information in market segments and report to leadership team.
  • Manage distributor network as per corporate goals and objectives.


Requirements:



  • 5 years of sales experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong presentation skills, and the ability to articulate a compelling value proposition
  • Solid negotiation skills and experience preparing client proposals
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft tools; strong Excel skills
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
