Why is this role critical?
The Operations Associate is part of the Market Operations Associate team and leads operational performance analyses, developing and executing on strategy and performance for naviHealth’s market-level operations. The Operations Associate is at the center of driving improved operational performance across the client portfolio through development and distribution of analytical presentations and strategic deep-dive reports that deliver insights to naviHealth Operators and clients alike. This is a collaborative, dynamic role requiring critical thinking skills, independence, strategic mindset, attention to detail, and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The position collaborates with Market Operations Associate team members (Director of Market Operations, Sr. Operations Associates and Operations Associates and Operations Analysts) to develop client reports and data-driven action plans for improving program performance. The Operations Associates works with cross functional teams within naviHealth to build collaborative connections with analytics, finance, business development and operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with Operational Market Leadership to lead operational performance analyses and deliver insights that drive key internal/external strategic initiatives aimed at adding incremental Operational Improvements to performance across clients and their assigned markets
- Analysis/ reporting includes but is not limited to: key performance indicator analysis, consistent client reporting, staffing assignments, and other strategic Initiatives related to client-facing deliverables and internal analysis
- Develop and maintain reporting models for development of presentations and reports for senior operations leads focused on accuracy and detail
- Drive client-level reporting for monthly operating reviews and joint operating committee meetings
- Support Provider Relations in special projects geared towards driving automated reporting and streamlined analytics at a market-wide level
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, formulate, and test hypotheses and develop recommendations
- Develop relationships with key naviHealth stakeholders, including Analytics, Finance, National Accounts, Clinical, Network, and Business Development teams to coordinate development of comprehensive client service offering
- Review and quality check all reporting that is sent to clients and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy
- Support Sr. Operations Associates and Operations Associates in reporting requests and special projects for enterprise-wide reporting and analysis
- Handle and maintain confidential data sources
- Support market operators in fulfilling client data requests on an ad hoc basis
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- 1+ years of work experience
- Driven to provide solutions for clients
- Mastery of simple excel functions (look up & pivot tables for example

Preferred Qualifications:
- Analyst or consulting experience or position
- Advanced level understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Tableau experience)
- Preliminary understanding of healthcare system; Exposure to Advanced Payment Models (APMs) or Value-based Care (VBC) models is a plus.
- High degree of integrity and work standards
- Exceptional problem solving, organization and communications skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Display ability to learn quickly in a rapidly developing work environment

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
