Associate Developer B/OSS DevOps

Associate Developer B/OSS DevOps - INF001758The Associate Developer - B/OSS DevOps provides high quality technical solutions in house and in collaboration with third party vendors that address business needs by developing and operating applications within the Billing, Usage and Revenue domains. This involves planning, analysis, design, developing/coding, testing, implementation, and operations of 24x7 critical applications based on Business needs, Project Requirements, Architectural Direction, and Industry Standards.

This role is open to the following UScellular Business office locations:
  • Chicago, IL
  • Schaumburg, IL
  • Madison, WI
  • Brookfield, WI

Additionally, this role is a hybrid work arrangement where the candidate can perform this role in-office or remote. In-office expectations within our operating footprint will be limited and based on an "on purpose, for a purpose" model, should a meeting or collaborative session be scheduled.

Essential Functions
  • Drive execution of innovative solutions using agile / DevOps methodologies for quick time to market
  • Analyze development documentation and test results of new projects, enhancements and fixes to the BSS/OSS platform and other systems for quality assurance and to ensure they are accurate and do not increase operational support
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support on rotational basis
  • Monitor systems and SLAs to ensure the daily business operational objectives are met
  • Develop and execute monitoring and reporting
  • Participate in initiatives that reduce operational risk and on-going support
  • Propose and perform modifications to enhance existing documentation or processes
  • Collaborate with business partners, IS Teams and vendors to provide solutions that address customer needs
  • Provide production support analysis for validation of issue resolution process
  • Assist in Developing and Operating Solutions in partnership with project team members in accordance with the desired systems development lifecycle and change management policies
  • Assist in driving Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Analysis to resolve application issues within the Billing and Usage or Revenue and Finance domains
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant studies, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience
  • Understanding of at least one applicable programming language (e.g., Java, C, C++); Unix/Linux and SQL
  • Understanding of version and revision control fundamentals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong remote collaboration skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to analyze, interpret problems or processes, and identify and understand requirements
  • Office Automation: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email
