Labriola Chicago is looking for passionate individuals to join our team!

Host/Hostess responsibilities include (but are not limited to): greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this position, you should have exceptional organizational skills and a positive attitude for our guests' dining experience. With the assistance of the management team, we expect our host/hostess to control the flow of the dining rooms/patio.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor wait lists
• Manage reservations
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
• Provide menus and announce server's name
• Greet customers upon their arrival/departure
• Coordinate with server staff about available seating options
• Maintain a clean reception/bathroom area
• Assist guests who require extra help with seating (e.g. children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
• Assist server/busser staff as needed

Requirements

• Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Experience in managing reservations
• Demonstrable customer-service skills
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
• Experience with Opentable
