The University of Miami/UHealth as an exciting opportunity for a (Temporary) Executive Director, Decision Support for the Department of Ophthalmology. The Executive Director, Decision Support provides executive level vision and leadership in administering the strategic oversight of partnering with key financial and operational stakeholders to gather, present, and data to drive decision making at the enterprise and departmental level. Furthermore, the Executive Director, Decision Support oversees administrative personnel and streamlines department operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

The Executive Director partners with department stakeholders to understand the key data needed for decision making. Develops and implements repeatable data gathering processes gathering, analyzing and reporting both financial and operational data points from across the enterprise. Ensures alignment between key operational stakeholders in order to communicate progress and execute deliverables. Develops, executes, and refines mechanisms for communicating decision making data to stakeholders. Provides leadership, team building, and development to department staff to provide clear direction and instill a culture of continuous improvement. Prepares various special and recurring projects, identifies concerns, and provides recommendations to senior management team. Maintains current knowledge of new trends and innovations in the field and of any legal developments that may affect department operations. Ensures internal control oversight and compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding of assets, compliance with University policies and procedures, reliability of internal and external reporting, and efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Creates an effective control environment, conducts risk assessment, implements and monitors controls.

Bachelors degree in relevant field

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

Patient safety is a top priority.
