Compensation Manager
Classification: Compensation Manager
Compensation: $70.00 to $75.00 hourly
The Manager Compensation is responsible for supporting the organization's broad-based compensation function by working closely with the Director Compensation on developing, implementing, and managing compensation related programs and policies. This position will partner with multiple divisions across the organization on the administration of various compensation programs including salary structure review, year-end compensation cycle (merit & bonus planning), annual compensation benchmarking, ad-hoc market pricing, regulatory compliance, etc.
Responsibilities:
• Manages the administration of compensation related programs and policies for the organizations
• Manages the year-end compensation planning tool (CPT) within HRM system (i.e. merit and short-term incentive planning, annual statement generation and distribution, etc.). Works closely with our HRIS team on the initial configuration and setup of the tool.
• Completes ad-hoc market analyses to determine competitive positioning of jobs and pay programs, including base pay and short- and long-term incentive pay
• Assist in the annual review of salary structures, and potential restructuring, to ensure external competitiveness with peer organizations and cost of labor shifts
• Collaborate with HR Business Partner’s and Talent Acquisition on compensation issues related to recruiting and candidate offers, as well as employee promotions, recognition, and retention actions
• Maintain a working knowledge of federal, state and local legislation that may affect compensation policies including minimum wage regulations for all geographic areas where MSG operates
• Lead and manage the work of Compensation Analyst(s)
Qualifications:
• 7+ years related professional experience, including managing compensation programs
• Strong MS Excel skills - Aptitude for mathematics, data reporting and analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and well under pressure in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
• Collaborative team player; ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or Finance
• CCP designation preferred, but not required
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Based HCM system preferred, but not required
