Evening Restaurant Server

The Rackhouse Tavern located within the historic Campbell House Lexington - Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking experienced servers to join our Rackhouse Tavern team. You must be passionate about providing service excellence to others.

BASIC PURPOSE:

Provide service excellence to guests and effectively promote menu items, take, and deliver food and beverage orders. This is a full-time position that requires working the evening shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Accurately and quickly take and place all food orders with the kitchen, according to the prescribed procedure.
2. Answer all questions about cooking methods, menu items, specials, and prices of all items.
3. Prepare and deliver beverage and dessert orders.
4. Check food to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct and deliver food orders in a timely fashion.
5. Prepare the guest check accurately and present it to the guest before their departure.
6. Collect payment from the guest.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Clean, clear, and reset dining room tables.
2. Assist in seating and greeting the guest.
3. Clean and restock service items

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Education: Ability to read and write English
• Experience: One-year server experience preferred
• Skills and Abilities: Communication and hospitality skills (English required)

Ability to work Micros computer system

Certifications: TIPs certified preferred. We provide training if necessary.
