POSITION TITLE: Sr. Manager, HR Operations

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Senior Manager of HR Operations is responsible for leading and developing an emerging HR Operations function at the company. The HR Operations team consists of 4 pillars of focus: people services, talent analytics, process project management, and technology services with a goal of delivering world-class services that are cost-optimized, effective and scalable which will elevate the employee experience. This leader and their team will provide support and consultation across these pillars to all divisions of the company. The role is expected demonstrate credibility by building collaborative relationships with the divisional leadership teams and HR leadership across the company.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
SHRM designations preferred (PHR, SPHR, etc)
EXPERIENCE:
The right candidate will have significant experience in employee relations, as an HR generalist, as well as multiple years leading HR Operations functions in a multi-state environment with 2,000 plus employees. Knowledge and experience in harmonizing, developing, and managing HR programs and policies as well as experience in leading technology teams, and Workday is a plus. This team will have responsibility for all areas of first-level HR support. This leader will establish the HR Service Center (HRSC), a central resource for all first and second level (Tier 0 and Tier 1) employee or manager HR requests, including processes, policies, employee relations, onboarding, as well as first-level responses for employment, benefits, compensation, performance, reporting, analytics, and Workday access or navigation questions. Experience in project management or leading a team of PMs.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES:
- The HR Operations team will grow over time through resources moving from the divisions to this team as well as new headcount to support this work. Lead the multi-year consolidation and acclimation effort of the team coming together.
- In partnership with the HR Leadership Team (HRLT), develop a multi-year strategy towards a mature state for HR Operations.
People Services
- Onboarding – partner with recruiting to manage onboarding process and ensure every employee has a positive and consistent entrance into the company. Handoffs to divisions for certain onboarding items.
- Via the HRSC (phone, email box, and/or Workday help if implemented), triage tier 0 and tier 1 requests
- Employee Relations – minimize risk and drive positive engagement by actively responding to and address employee concerns in a timely manner. Conduct and coordinate investigations and make initial recommendations to HRBPs as escalation or deeper investigation is required. Collaborate with Legal and outside counsel as needed
- Compensation and Benefits – support the core teams on first-level questions as well as help manage and coordinate the annual processes (e.g., Merit, bonus, open enrollment, vendor integrations, etc)
- Talent Management – support preparation and execution of talent reviews and succession planning as well as any needed organizational re-alignment. Also partner to support any needed retention programs or strategies
Talent Analytics
- Reporting and Analytics – bolster and support existing talent analytics and develop reporting and analytics cadence and dashboard design to support all people-related decisions at the company. Current state and future or predictive analysis is part of this responsibility.
- Supporting COE workstreams (recruiting, talent, HRBPs, compensation, and benefits) with reporting and analytics.
- Will leverage reporting and dashboarding that comes from Workday
- Developing data governance procedures as needed
Process Project Management
- Drive consistency of process and procedure across the company to mitigate compliance risk and enhance the HR operating model and the employee experience.
- Policies and Practices – manage and maintain all policies and practices, including the Employee Handbook and other employment related documents.
- HR Budget – manage budget and coordinate budget and 5-yr strategy for HR
- Project management office for all HR related projects (COE or HRBP) which may include headcount dedicated to the work or may be part of the shared team responsibility
Technology Services
- Workday Support – provide first-line system and content support for all employees as well as work with the HRIS team to ensure Workday is configured correctly and effectively
- Data ownership and auditing for compliance and process excellence
- Partner with IT to ensure successful execution of working technologies for HR
