Paradisa Homes, LLC is an Austin-based residential home builder focused on high-quality, contemporary, custom and spec building within the Austin area. Established in 2011, the organization has completed well over 400 residential structures and is known for its full service approach centered on a tight-knit team of administrative, real estate, architectural, design, and construction professionals. Typical residential projects range in size from 2,500-7,500 sq. ft. and are targeted towards $750,000 all the way to $10M price brackets.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and exceptional Residential Construction Superintendent to grow with our organization and manage scheduling, planning, city inspections, and all jobsite activity involving new residential development. This position involves oversight of staff and subcontractors to meet our standards for timeliness, budgetary targets, and quality.

Job Responsibilities and Duties Include:
  • Study of project specifications to create project management plans based on project start and completion times in addition to aligning staffing needs for each phase of construction
  • Assist with material orders and delivery at specified times to conform to work schedules
  • Coordinates all on site construction without supervision including daily interaction with other Company departments as well as city inspectors. This is in addition to coordinating and managing efforts of project staff and subcontractors through all phases of construction
  • Verifies subcontractors work quality and completion status and ensuring prompt and accurate submission of invoices
  • Conducts daily physical inspection of each house to determine progress and to ensure staff and subcontractors comply with Company safety and quality control standards as well as any agency standards; oversees completion of walk through items
  • Ensures staff and subcontractors follow Company construction standards, quality control and safety methods and procedures
  • May adjust personnel and equipment resources as needed to resolve construction problems and to avoid delays
  • Maintains a complete file on each house; provide timely and accurate progress reports
  • Assists the Company with managing all under construction home sites, completed unsold home sites, vacant lots and community as a whole such that all are kept clean and marketable at all times
  • Performs other duties assigned by Construction Dept. Head


Basic Requirements
  • Exceptional organizational and management skills that include a detail-oriented outlook, possession of good judgment, common sense, and an understanding of how to maximize value while minimizing cost
  • Knowledge of local codes and construction methods, construction material identification and use
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to recognize and resolve problems quickly and effectively
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • May have occasion to lift/carry and/or push/pull 50 pounds.
  • Ability to tolerate and safely navigate varied construction site working conditions where temperature, weather and noise may vary. Conditions may involve electrical hazards, dust, poor ventilation, dangerous machinery, moving objects or toxic elements.


Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction related field or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 Years in residential building experience
  • Knowledge of BuilderTrend or other construction project management software
  • English and Spanish bilingual abilities


Compensation:
  • Salary of $80,000 to $85,000; depending on experience/ qualifications.
  • Per-project bonus potential based on meeting or exceeding scheduling time-lines and being on budget for each project. Yearly bonus is approximately 10-15% of base salary.
