Compensation: $60000.00 to $75000.00 yearly
Working with a growing Energy client in the MetroWest who is seeking someone to be responsible for all aspects of Accounts Receivable. Accounts Receivable is responsible for recording customer payments, invoicing, collections, data entry, and processing and recording transactions to the general ledger. This role requires a basic understanding of accounting principles, accounts receivable and cash application, collections, and problem solving. The successful candidate should have the ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and be a team player.

Your responsibilities in this role
- Contact clients to settle payment issues and establish payment plans as required
- Handle a range of basic accounting tasks using standard procedures
- Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Ensure accuracy of documents and codes
- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers
- Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
- Process payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
- Proficient in ERP systems
- Consumer collections experience
- Earlier work involving Account Discrepancies
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
- General familiarity with Check Runs
- Well-founded grasp of bank reconciliations
- Expertise in customer invoices
- Strong familiarity with commercial collections
- Quality experience with Detailed Analysis
- Practical knowledge of Aging Reports
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Wide ranging experience with financial reporting
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Good understanding of construction
- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
- 3+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
- Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
