Lenity Architecture, award-winning leader in senior housing and commercial architecture with an integrated team of over 30 professionals, is looking for an Accounting Assistant, who can take initiative and has a positive, team-player attitude to join the accounting team.
Position Summary
As Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for performing functions across all areas of accounting. You will also be responsible for having extensive interaction with staff in order to ensure compliance for time tracking and expense reports, and for maintaining a positive relationship between staff and the accounting department.
We are looking for a dependable, organized, detail-oriented, team-player to contribute to the overall success of our organization. Your essential duties will be to enter data for all areas of accounting including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Reconciliations back-up, and Consultant Tracking review; review staff time entry, ensuring accuracy and completion; submit accurate time and personnel records to our outside Payroll & HR service as well as establishing a good working relationship with them; and work directly with the Staff Accountant to assist in multiple responsibilities.
Education + Experience
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
- OR Three (3) to Five (5) years related experience and/or training;
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in:
- MS Excel
- QuickBooks
General Objectives and Responsibilities
- Provides accounting support.
- Inputs accounting data into computers for tracking, manipulation and reporting purposes. Compiles and prepares specialized accounting reports.
- Researches accounting records to assist in the identification and resolution of problems or inadequacies of accounting information.
- Establishes and maintains department files in accordance with office procedure.
- Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with coworkers and vendors; including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Respectfully takes direction from manager.
