Vice President of Real Estate

About The Company

Our client is a leading financial and real estate services company specializing in the financial and commercial real estate market.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of month/quarter-end close including General Ledger maintenance, journal entry preparation, and expense accruals, intercompany activities, and accounting analysis
  • Understand commercial real estate investment transactions, complex legal and transaction structures, and GAAP to prepare journal entries accurately
  • Creation and implementation of processes and controls to enhance the reliability of information
  • Understanding of fund accounting, SEC reporting, and disclosures, as well as consolidations and eliminations
  • Internal and external reporting for all products/entities as well as the overall investment management business, inclusive of the sponsor of DST’s and REITs
  • Understanding of various legal agreements inclusive of debt, operating, and other agreements
  • Calculation and disbursement of management fees and investor distributions
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA license is preferred
  • 5-12 years of combined experience with audit firm and/or real estate property management firm
  • Experience with SEC reporting, management reporting, and lender/compliance reporting
  • Experience in commercial real estate property accounting
