Revenue Distribution Manager

Position Summary:

We are looking for an analytical problem solver with a passion for increasing revenue. The Revenue & Distribution Manager will track and implement the company’s efforts to maximize revenues at supported operations. Your work will be responsible for implementing revenue management strategies and processes to increase revenue, profit and market share associated with golf rounds, memberships, meetings/events and occupancy.

The ideal candidate will manage and support revenue management analytic functions to produce reporting and training that drive facility performance and business strategies. You will provide guidance and support for sales and marketing initiatives that are targeted to meet the needs of each property.

The scope of the role will include inventory management, competitive analysis, evaluating booking patterns and forecasting/managing opportunities to increase revenue. This role will utilize point of sale and tee sheet rounds and revenue data utilization results and third-party distribution metrics through partners to form strategies and tactics for implementation. The analysis will be utilized to communicate best practices through the organization and provide training and tools for course operators to implement. This position will be part of the Marketing Department in KemperSports’ home office and will report to the Director of Sales, Marketing & Revenue Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, track, measure and report on operational revenue, tee sheet utilization and third-party distribution;

  • Analyze, report and recommend on key company metrics regarding tee sheet utilization and third-party distribution;

  • Organize and effectively communicate strategic opportunities with marketing and property operations teams on best practices regarding revenue optimization;

  • Consult with property leaders and other property team members regarding individual metrics and trends;

  • Interfacing with internal and external technology leads including point-of-sale and third-party distribution partners and optimizing performance and partnerships through such channels;

  • Creating competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends;

  • Developing pricing strategies in conjunction with property leadership teams;

  • Providing dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons;

  • Managing and overseeing strategy for round and rate distribution;

  • Analyzing overall round/revenue performance and providing regular report with recommendations to improve short- and long-term strategies;

  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions and tools related to revenue management functions at the property level;

  • Stay current on market and industry changes that impact revenue strategies;

  • Partner with marketing teams to create promotional tactics and communications that drive revenue in the most profitable channels.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Data management proficiency with analyst experience

  • Revenue management experience, preferably in the hospitality industry

  • Familiarity with dynamic pricing, revenue management and/or channel management principles

  • Experience in golf operations is a significant plus

  • E-commerce experience beneficial

  • Demonstrates quality interpersonal communication skills, presentation skills and sales skills

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends and holidays

  • Positive attitude, professionalism, ability to lead and work as part of a team

  • Dedication and commitment to excellent customer service

  • Proficient with technology capable of creating/editing presentations, spreadsheets and written materials

  • Masterful presentation skills and mental business acuity are needed

  • Some travel required

  • Must be strong in administrative skills including research, data analysis, and reporting
