Type/ Duration: 5-Month Contract with option to extend

Summary
Perform the quality assurance design, execution and analysis of test plans and strategies for all internally developed and purchased software solutions.

This candidate will be responsible for test plans, test cases, and test scripts for automation testing of ETL processes, and Oracle packages. Strong SQL skills required.

This individual will need to be comfortable and proficient with creating the automation test scripts from scratch. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of development experience and has moved to software testing. Candidate must be comfortable working in an Agile environment and experience participating in Scrum meetings and sprint cycles.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years in automation testing, predominantly ETL (Informatica and Oracle packages)
• 3+ years working experience with test automation tools- Selenium, Test Complete, or QTP
• 3+ years in the design, development, and maintenance of test cases, test plans, and test scripts
• Experience writing/ creating automation test scripts in a custom framework environment
• Experience using SOAP UI (web services testing/ API)
• Must have experience and be comfortable participating in Scrum Meetings
  • Recent Agile experience: backlog grooming, defining user stories, refining of acceptance criteria, defining of acceptance tests, etc.
• Proficient with ETL processes, SQL skills, .NET and/ or Java-based applications
• Experienced in Quality Assurance practices and tools
• Strong debugging skills and Bug Tracking Software
• Knowledge of database technologies
• Test Case Management System
• Experienced in white and black box testing
• Test creation, including: Automation, regression, performance testing
• Data validation, boundary testing and in analyzing test results
• Distilling business requirements into use cases and test cases
• Solid scripting abilities and a mindset of optimizing productivity
• Previous experience as a developer
• Testing in Business Objects nice to have
