Sales Assistant - Cash Management (Bilingual Japanese)
Overview
Our SMBC Transactional Banking Department (TRBD) is looking to hire a new CMS Sales Assistant.
The assistant will work in the cash management sales team under the manager by communicating with clients and Relationship Managers, preparing and reviewing agreements, creating various sales reports, presentation materials, structural diagrams, and performing other required related tasks in order for the sales team to focus on generating revenue.
Responsibilities
- Work with the sales team members to identify client needs, and report the progress to Team Head in order to offer appropriate solutions and cash management service (CMS) products for the clients.
- Prepare and review presentation materials and proposals, fee schedules, RFP, and cost analysis projects.
- Work closely with the product team to gather information and updates regarding enhancements, and pricing for the sales team.
- Prepare and review CMS agreements and other related paperwork for clients. Follow up with the clients to ensure that we obtain completed documents in a timely manner to meet the deadline for the service to be implemented.
- Update Team Head on the pending items. Keep track of the record of progress on pending items and sales results and update weekly CMS sales report progress, and align with goals and sales strategy.
- Perform client E-Moneyger demonstrations in order to present SMBC CMS products.
- Work with Product Team for implementation process on new products and complex services.
- Keep abreast of any changes or enhancements of products and communicate any client enhancement or product needs to the Sales Manager and Product Team.
- Adhere to internal bank procedures, policies, and strategies as laid out by TRBD and sales management as well as bank regulatory and compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read and write in English and Japanese, required.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a customer service or sales role, preferred with a bank or other financial institution. Cash Management or Treasury services experience/knowledge and working knowledge of corporate sales in the cash management industry preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of cash management services and products i.e., Online Banking Service, Remote Deposit, Lockbox and ACH Systems, Cash Pooling and general banking services and operations.
- Build an understanding of internal bank policies and procedures and remain in compliance with any bank regulatory matters.
- Collaborate with other sales units, Product Teams, Customer Service, Implementation, Operation Dept. and other parties for all processes to be completed smoothly.
- Build constructive and effective relationships with peers and senior management.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness and work with others using diplomacy, respect, and tact.
- Organizes thoughts and clearly articulates points, both verbally and in writing, to management or other internal departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet time -critical deadlines. Spends his/her time effectively and uses informed judgment to focus on priority matters.
