Facility Maintenance Technician

This position is part of the Engineering department and works as part of a team to perform building
maintenance and repair building facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical, and related equipment.
These positions are very hands-on and require a willingness to work as part of a team.

Description:
• Performs repairs, service, and preventative maintenance on HVAC and electrical equipment
• Repairs and/or replaces common area lighting as needed
• Maintains accurate records of equipment condition and effectively evaluates future equipment
• Collaborates with a team that installs new units or replacement parts for existing units
• Operates all HVAC and electrical systems at optimum performance levels while ensuring occupancy comfort
• Performs all preventative maintenance to HVAC and mechanical equipment
• Has ability to work nights and weekends as needed with varied hours and days
• Adhere to safety guidelines
• Other related duties as assigned

Required Education:
• High School diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:
• 1-3 years of related hands-on experience
• Building maintenance experience preferred but not required
• Electrical, HVAC, Pneumatics and Pumps
• Experience working at varying levels of height
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Must pass a mandatory background check

Physical Requirements:
• Stand, walk, or climb ladder/stairs for majority of work shift
• Work outside in weather elements up to 25% of the time
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to work on a scissor lift or boom lift at heights up to 75 feet
• Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs
• Ability to wear and work in various types of Personal Protection Devices and Equipment (OSHA Standards)
