Java Developer

IRG is seeking a Sr Java Developer for its client at Atlanta, GA.

It is a W2 contract position.

Role Title: Sr. Java developer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: 1 year

Required Skills:

5+ years strong JAVA Programming experience.

experience developing web applications utilizing JAVA Enterprise Edition (J2EE), XML, and Web Services at an enterprise level.

experience with J2EE Framework components such as Servlets, JSP, EJB, JDBC, Logging mechanism (ex. Log4J), Transaction Management and Thread Management.

experience writing SQL/Functions/Procedures in transactional database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2.

knowledge on MVC framework like Spring/Struts/Grails and ORM tools such as Hibernate, MyBatis.

Good understanding of developing Web-services.

Good understanding of HTML UI, CSS and JavaScript or JQuery

Strong technical skills including understanding of software development principles.

Preferred Skills:

IE/Child Care experience(preferred)

Understanding control procedures and disciplines

Working with quality assurance teams in systems similar to JIRA and or Confluence

Problem solving with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error delivering high quality work and adapting to new challenges, as an individual or as part of a team

Strong analytical, design and debugging skills

Ability to develop design, test and deployment documentation

Strong J2EE platform integration, framework, and deployment experience

Experience with deployment tools to package and deploy components

Database persistence framework experience using JDBC, JPA, JNDI and data source configuration.

Ability to develop UML artifacts e.g., Class, Sequence, Activity, and/or Use Case diagrams with minimal supervision.
