Senior Analyst/Associate- Corporate Credit Management - Technology

Business Overview:

Corporate Credit Management ("CCM") is a transversal Team in support of the approximately 800 Corporate Clients of the North American platform. The CCM Team works to ensure coverage, monitoring & execution of all counterparty risk requests for the Corporate platform. The Corporate Credit Team consists of the Credit Analyst & Account Management organizations which provide sector/transaction specialized risk monitoring for the Corporate platform.

Responsibilities:

  • The primary mandate of this role is: 1) to underwrite new transactions for existing clients and prospects including term sheet analysis of revolvers and terms loans formalized in a credit memoranda; 2) to manage an assigned portfolio of Corporate Clients in the Technology space (part of the larger TMT portfolio of the Bank in North America) including periodic review of borrowers' financial statements, covenant compliance reports, press releases and news articles, rating agency and equity analyst reports, industry trends, etc.
  • Portfolio consists of US-based IG/non-IG clients as well as leveraged clients
  • Take primary responsibility for the preparation of cash flow projections associated with new transactions and Leveraged Lending requirements.
  • Strong interaction with Bankers (i.e. Coverage), Risk department, and Product Teams (among others, Loan Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Equity Derivatives, FX, IRD, Commodity, Trade Finance, Supply Chain Management, Cash Management and Teams) including coordinating the credit process
  • Maintain reporting related to the portfolio including pipeline tracking, exposure tracking, and other general reports
  • Interact with internal and external auditors during loan examinations
  • Interact with other bank branches to coordinate on client strategy
  • Attend bank meetings and/or client calls with the Bankers


Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and fundamental corporate credit analysis skillset
  • Projection modeling skills
  • Good knowledge of general banking products and banking practices including a solid understanding of loan structure, terms and credit agreements
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Minimum of 1 to 5 years of prior experience in corporate banking (preferably in corporate credit management) and/or at rating agencies covering Corporate Clients


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master in Finance and/or MBA
  • CFA (or CFA candidacy)
  • Completion of formal credit training courses
