We are seeking a Director of Statistical Analysis to join our Value Access and Outcomes team, which serves our clients by identifying, substantiating, and conveying the value of groundbreaking medical advances.

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: leading statistical input and providing expert guidance to projects, developing statistical analysis plans, performing and reporting statistical analysis as standalone research or for input into health economic models that will provide direct information to clients, and governing/reimbursement bodies and/or for publication. Common types of analyses/projects performed include, but are not restricted to:

  • Survival analyses:
  • Parametric survival analyses
  • Flexible parametric survival models
  • Mixture cure modelling
  • Adjustments from treatment switch/cross-over within clinical trials
  • Indirect treatment comparisons (e.g. NMAs, MAICs, Fractional polynomials)
  • Analyses of clinical trial data (e.g. quality of life)
  • Analyses of observational data/real world evidence
  • Statistical input into reimbursement submissions to health technology agencies

The successful candidate should be motivated to learn and apply new methodologies and techniques in the evolving field of health technology assessment and reimbursement.

Close collaboration, both within the Statistics team and cross-functionally with the Evidence Review, Insights, Advanced Analytics and Health Economics teams, is an essential part of the role. Furthermore, this role is client-facing, and you will be required to contribute directly to business development via input into proposals to clients.

The role can be tailored to an individual candidates strengths and aspirations, but will include a mix of roles and responsibilities, including strategic input and oversight of statistical content on projects, collaboration internally and externally with experts in specific fields, programming, writing (planning, reporting, manuscripts and submission documents), quality control, mentoring, training, and for the suitable candidate, there are line management opportunities.

Requirements

Your skills/experience:

We are looking for enthusiasm, vision, flexibility in approach and the desire to grow into a key and influential role within our Statistics team. You will ideally have:

  • A postgraduate qualification (MSc, PhD) in a statistical/mathematical topic
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a view to liaising with technical and non-technical clients (both internally and externally)
  • At least 6-years experience working in a role planning, performing and reporting statistical analyses within a consultancy/contract research organization (CRO) environment
  • Experience working within a Statistics team, with demonstrated ability to contribute to new methods/processes for the team
  • Experience contributing to scoping of statements of work
  • Experience with mentoring and/or line management of staff
  • Excellent numerical and critical thinking ability
  • Understanding of the importance of managing projects within timelines, budget and scope
  • Programming skills in R
