Equity Research Associate, Shipping, Energy, and Renewables

Job Purpose

BTIG seeks an Associate to support the Equity Research team. Experience in building financial models and proficiency with accounting and financial statement analysis and strong writing skills required. Must have ability to balance multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial models for use in analysis, company updates and recommendations for clients
  • Conduct industry and company specific research for use in research reports
  • Keep senior analysts abreast of daily news flow
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking or equity research preferred
  • Ability to create and maintain financial models
  • Demonstrated interest in the Renewables, or related sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Solid work ethic and superior attention to detail
  • Series SIE, 63, 86 & 87 licensing preferred, but not required upon hiring
