Interphase Systems is searching for a full-time, truly senior-level systems engineer/architect who will lead, architect, and deliver complex, technical solutions to our customers. We need someone who has an elite skillset along with a deep understanding of a wide variety of infrastructure technologies. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about technology and are self-motivated to investigate, understand and develop new solutions using current as well as upcoming technologies. Applicants will be asked to use their past experiences and vast knowledge to resolve highly-complex client infrastructure & cloud environment challenges and help enhance their current infrastructure with new project work.

Candidates will be expected to meet with our customers, understand and listen to their infrastructure challenges, and develop detailed solutions within a defined budget. The candidate is expected to present their solutions to our client’s senior level management, detailing the solutions and answering technical questions as they arise.

To be considered for this position, the candidate must have most of the following experience:

• A minimum of 8 years of real-world infrastructure experience in complex, multi-site environments.

• A minimum of 8 years of Microsoft Windows Server configuration experience & other systems engineering work

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V/) architecture and configuration in multiple environments (VMware experience preferred). This includes the design and implementation of multi-host clusters utilizing shared storage.

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with firewalls, switches & routing with multiple manufacturers as well as a design-level understanding of how networks are configured and how they communicate. (SonicWall, WatchGuard firewalls preferred).

• 3+ Years working with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 implementation and migration experience in both small and large environments

• Scripting knowledge using PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Python and other tools

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with cloud design and configuration in Microsoft Azure (preferred) and/or Amazon Web Services environments.

Other Preferred Skills

Other areas of experience we would find beneficial (but not required) include:

• 3+ years working with configuring multiple SAN technologies utilizing fiber and ISCSI.

• Implementation of e-mail security solutions such as Barracuda E-mail Essentials or Barracuda Sentinel.

• Experience implementing Microsoft Azure Active Directory Domain Services, Infrastructure as a Service, Azure Files, ExpressRoute, Endpoint Manager, Windows Virtual Desktops, Azure Sentinel, Security Center, Information Protection, DLP, Migrate, and Azure Site Recovery.

• Implementation of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services

• Cyber Security Hardening, Assessments, Penetration Testing, Security Technology Implementations.

• Mobile Device Management strategy and technical implementation.

• Cloud security hardening experience.

• Experience working in regulated industries

• Experience in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Financial Services, Education.

• Able to evaluate and learn relevant new technologies as the arrive in the marketplace

• Able to pursue and attain industry certifications

• Capable of leading teams and mentoring systems engineers

• Must be able to travel locally to visit client sites when required

Educational Requirements

• Bachelors degree (preferred)

• Some level of advanced industry certifications such as:

• Microsoft Certified Professional: Windows, Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft 365, MCSE: Core Infrastructure, or similar

• Cloud: Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect, Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect

• Microsoft 365: Certified Fundamentals, Enterprise Administrator Expert

• Security Engineer: Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, GIAC Certifications, Security+, or similar

• Virtualization: VMware Certified Professional, VMware Certified Advanced Professional
