Length of Assignment: This contract position is full-time (40 hours) for a period of 6 months contract

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will
  • Operational Excellence for a Hybrid Workforce: Understand organizational needs, improve the People Operations Playbook, and create/improve Workday/system-enabled key HR processes and workflows to support Future of Work and employees in a hybrid, distributed workforce environment.
  • Employee Ticket Management: Monitor service level agreements (SLAs), manage employee requests, FAQ wiki resource creation, and ticket management best practices to drive efficiency and employee satisfaction with both speed and care
  • HR Compliance: Ensure HR Operations audit and control process and procedures are developed, documented, and followed in compliance with internal policies, federal and state laws for a distributed workforce (I-9, background check, new hire data audit, etc.); Support internal and external audit and compliance initiatives as needed
  • Process Mapping and Improvement: Develop new or update existing HR Ops process maps and error/issue tracker to identify process improvements opportunities with excellent problem-solving skills and practical solutions, focus on growing or changing user needs
  • Onboarding Ops: Oversee onboarding operations and collaborate with key onboarding stakeholders (Recruiting, IT, Payroll, Benefits, Facility, etc.) to ensure a seamless handoff and cross-functional execution
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Forge excellent partnerships and lead regular operational business review meetings with Recruiting Ops, Payroll/Finance Ops, and cross-functional partners to address changing business needs

You have
  • 10+ years overall experience including 5+ years in managing core HR Operations in a hybrid, distributed workforce environment
  • 3+ years of experience in improving and identifying issues in processes, suggesting user-focused improvements, and navigating/influencing cross-functional teams to drive these changes.
  • Detail-oriented, get-things-done professional who can think strategically, adapt quickly and exhibit great communication & event planning skills, teamwork, and collaboration with an upbeat attitude.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate the current state, find opportunities for improvement, and develop a project plan for strong execution
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Passion about accelerating social progress and excited to work jointly with a team of scientists, academics, community activists, and technologists to build a brighter future for everyone!

Must Haves:
From a technology standpoint:
- Workday
- -Jira ticket system; Zendesk, or other alias.
- Experience with managing service level agreements
- HR ops (auditing, data auditing, background checks)
- Improve HR ops process map and improve the workflow.
- At least 5 years in HR.
- -payroll colab, legal team, coallb, some project amnagemnt (process workflow).
