Network Engineering Senior Manager

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Secure Network Risk & Control Senior Manager.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop teams of individual contributors and managers in roles with moderate complexity and risk maintaining the enterprise network
  • Collaborate with network engineers and Information Technology Team to design and implement the company's network infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners and peers associated with the Network Engineering function
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Manage network, delegate tasks and ensure networking team performs as a cohesive unit, maintaining the stability and performance of network
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Network Engineering team to meet moderate to high risk deliverables
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for Network Engineering functions with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
  • Create and implement network security measures
  • Develop a backup disaster recovery plan for a network emergency
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including managers
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Network Engineering
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 6+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Management experience over an IT governance, risk, and control (GRC) function
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity
Job Expectations:
  • Manage and develop team in roles with moderate complexity and risk, and execute and make decisions that remain within the company's risk appetite
  • Establish business objectives that align to enterprise and security standards and coordinate business planning to guide the achievement of those objectives
  • Identify issues and risks as they arise, escalate them in a timely manner, and drive remediation of risks owned by Secure Network Services
  • Evaluate readiness, chair discussions, and execute deliverables for first-, second-, and third-line assessments on behalf of the organization
  • Assist network engineers in defining appropriate strategy and actions to meet high risk deliverables
  • Interpret and execute policies and procedures that govern the way Secure Network Services delivers its products
  • Develop and guide a customer-centric and security-focused culture to meet business objectives and strategy
The role of Secure Network Risk & Control Senior Manager will support the overall security posture, control effectiveness, and risk awareness for all technology and process controls owned by Service Network Services, which delivers secure, standardized, resilient enterprise network connectivity as an enabling service for other foundational technology services, workforce and productivity solutions, and information security at Wells Fargo. This includes communications infrastructure and services, firewalls, proxies, remote access, cryptographic technologies, and more.
