Big Woods is a local, homebrewed company that started in a Nashville, Indiana alley as single bar and brewery. In 10 short years, we have expanded to multiple restaurant locations and added a large brewery and distilling company. Big Woods is dedicated to serving Indiana with the finest local brews, cocktails and midwestern comfort food.
Big Woods Restaurant Group is looking to hire an Assistant Kitchen Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively assist in managing and leading the kitchen. Assisting in monitoring, training, and developing employees. Lead each shift by delegating duties, assigning tasks, and following up with all team members.
- Establish weekly asset scheduling in the kitchen to meet projected demands in a way that allows for a smooth service flow at all stations.
- Assist in inventory, ordering, rotation, monitoring, and accepting orders for all food and kitchen product. Minimize food waste.
- Maintain and enforce cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen. Check food quality and temperatures throughout the day to maintain Health and Safety regulations.
- Must be proficient in each area of the kitchen to assist when necessary. Prepare foods when necessary Ensure all food items are prepared according to the Big Woods standards of quality, consistency, and timeliness.
- Other tasks and duties when needed.

Requirements:
- Previous Experience: 1 year minimum in a supervisory capacity of kitchen.
- Able to lift minimum of 40 lbs.
- Able to work on feet in a kitchen and restaurant environment for extended periods of time.
- Current Serv-Safe Certification required.
