Hughes Network Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Program Manager to work in our Consumer Business Management team. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

• In a matrix organization lead hands-on complex data analysis and modeling efforts on business systems and complex attributes in support of managing a notional consumer service
• Manipulate complicated data sets and arrive at high confidence conclusions to drive decision making
• Support initiatives in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning initiatives to optimize service performance
• Use background technical foundation to grow a general understanding of high data rate RF communications to support consumer internet services (terrestrial, wireless and satellite) and internet delivery networks
• Manage and/or collaborate with cross functional multidisciplinary teams sometimes supporting or directing other work in a heavily matrixed organization
• Identify areas of opportunity to improve systems integrations or architecture and define projects for launch team to deliver

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or related technical field
• 8+ years of experience in technical projects or programs delivering hands on technical solutions through coding, scripting, modeling and technical analysis
• 5+ years of experience with data modeling or analytics using software such as Tableau, R, Python, or Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in telecommunications, or engineering
• General understanding of business systems integration and networking
• In depth knowledge of how data travels the internet
• A passion to understand root cause of deeply technical issues and understand what the data is telling us
• Excellent technical collaborator
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management skills and presentation skills
• Experienced in Industry Best Practices for technical analysis and deriving statistically significant conclusions

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
