Salary: $130,000 - $160,000+

The Director Of Client Development is a brand new role at Egg that we are excited to introduce. The role serves as both a “thought partner” and “quarterback” to the Strategy Team leads, Operations Team and Managing Directors. The role ultimately improves the overall client experience, streamlines the RFP process resulting in a more effective internal process and ultimately results in a higher “win” rate for new business pitches.

The role is open to several locations including Denver, Chicago, New York City, Atlanta, Austin, Philadelphia and Vancouver.

Core job responsibilities:

  • Leads and supports the full cycle process of RFPs by constructing a comprehensive RFP plan in partnership with the Strategy and Operations teams. Responsible for making proposals more complete, assisting with pricing and keeping the process on track.
  • Prioritizes the RFP process, ensuring key proposals get the attention needed for success by developing and maintaining a “playbook” identifying target type projects.
  • Creates complex internal support, communication and resourcing plans to ensure multi-departmental success resulting in business retention and growth.
  • Identifies the right internal resources for new business activities and pitches.
  • Collaborates closely with Strategy and Operations Teams to ensure alignment on RFPs.
  • Develops and maintains a client relationship “map” and ensures a robust engagement strategy for key relationships in place, helping the MD or SD drive the development of deep client relationships.
  • Serves as an expert client resource and maintains robust client information and knowledge (including proposal tracking, client news, helping to identify opportunities).
  • Assists in presenting new business pitches.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Be able to handle demands, targets, guidelines, deadlines and high stress situations.
  • Have excellent networking and business acquisition skills.
  • Proposal writing experience.
  • Adept at building relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a client development or new business role, ideally at a marketing, market research, innovation or brand strategy consultancy.
  • Candidates coming out a strategy consultancy background wishing to move into a client development role will be considered.
  • Familiarity with the RPF process and process improvement.
  • Proven ability to remain exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and proven to be effective at multi-tasking.
  • Proven ability to build highly functioning relationships.
  • Must live within commuting distance to Denver, Chicago, New York City, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Minneapolis or Austin. This will be a hybrid position. Our employees are currently required to be vaccinated to work onsite.
